About the Lions, Tigers, and Bears Program

Welcome to Lions, Tigers and Bears, the complete martial arts and character education program for kids. We are proud to announce that the LTB program is now available to martial arts instructors around the country who seek to implement a highly successful, proven children’s curriculum at their school or would like to transform their existing program.

The LTB program is not just a teaching methodology, but a complete 2-year, age appropriate martial arts and character education curriculum, designed to prepare young students, ages 3-8, for more advanced martial arts training in the future.

Master Instructor, Patty Troia, developed the Lions, Tigers and Bears program with two key goals in mind:

The first goal in the creation of the Lions, Tigers and Bears program was to share the knowledge gained by teaching martial arts to thousands of young children over a span of more than 25 years. In addition, Patty used her personal experience as a child who started training in the martial arts at the age of 12 to guide the development of both the teaching methods and the curriculum of the LTB program.

Many things have changed in our industry in the past 25 years with regard to the way we teach children. In the past, adult students dominated martial arts schools. Children who wished to participate were simply thrown into the same class with everyone else. Today, most schools recognize the need for separate children’s classes for their youngest participants. However, they fail to implement a curriculum specifically designed to meet the unique needs and learning abilities of children. It is no longer acceptable to teach the youngest members of your school a watered down version of your traditional curriculum.

As the martial arts industry today competes against so many other extra-curricular activities, parents demand that you have a professional program with highly trained instructors teaching age specific skills, using age appropriate methodologies. The second goal in the development of the Lions, Tigers and Bears program was to provide instructors affordable access to an extensive line of professionally designed, high-quality, custom merchandise and promotional products.

As the Lions, Tigers and Bears program was expanding at our own school over the years, we were always searching for custom merchandise and promotional items to support our program and promote the future growth of the school. We found that the products we were looking for simply did not exist and were extremely expensive to manufacture for a single school owner. We believe that many instructors have faced the same frustration trying to find the time, the finances and access to the resources necessary to design and manufacture custom merchandise on a budget. Because these items are so cost-prohibitive for the typical school owner, they often do not exist, which only hurts the future growth or your business.

The Lions, Tigers and Bears program allows you to offer 3 separate children’s classes to address the developmental differences of various age groups. While we recommend that you offer the LTB program to children between the ages of 3 and 8, you can easily customize the age requirements to fit your specific needs.
There is a one-time cost to purchase the entire Membership Kit and become a Lions, Tigers and Bears member school. There are no ongoing costs, franchise fees or membership dues to pay to be a member of the LTB program.
In the Lions, Tigers and Bears Membership Kit, you will receive everything you need to run a highly successful children’s martial arts and character education program from start to finish.
As a member school, you will have access to ongoing phone and e-mail support. While we feel that the Instructor Manual & Curriculum Guide included in your Membership Kit will provide you with all of the information you need to successfully implement the LTB program at your school, we are always available to answer any questions you may have. Our program has truly been developed through experience and trial and error so we are more than happy to share that experience with you to help your program thrive.
We continue to teach the Lions, Tigers and Bears program at our own school several days per week and we always seek to add new ideas and exciting updates. Member schools will be notified of any new products, activities, games, or other updates as soon as they become available.
Optional one-on-one training is available at your convenience. For an additional fee, one of our instructors will visit your school or you may visit ours to receive training directly from Patty Troia, the developer of the LTB program. Remember, phone and e-mail support is always available at no additional charge. However, if you wish to receive additional support, you personal training session will be customized to fit your needs and answer any questions you may have.
